Microsoft 365 consultancy for small and medium businesses

Today, smart tools alone don’t equate to smart work. Microsoft 365, the most widely used suite of productivity software, is pivotal for modern work but can be challenging to fully utilise due to its extensive capabilities.

We started business in 1987 and have been a Microsoft partner for the majority of that time, so you can be sure your business is in safe, capable hands. Our adept Microsoft 365 consultants can assist you in selecting the right version for your needs, assist with seamless migrations, and provide comprehensive training to ensure efficiency and productivity.

Additionally, we ensure your setup is secure and compliant. With our years of expertise, we simplify Microsoft 365, helping you achieve smart, efficient, and secure workflows.

Backup misconceptions

A common misconception is that Microsoft 365's built-in backup alone is enough. In reality, you also need third-party Microsoft 365 backup and recovery to ensure your data is fully protected. Without it, you risk losing important data due to accidental deletion, ransomware, or other unforeseen issues. Our team can set up reliable backup and M365 data protection and disaster recovery solutions tailored to your needs, giving you peace of mind knowing your data is safe and recoverable.

Proven process

Worried about sharing the wrong information with the wrong people? Monitoring and controlling access when working with consultants or freelancers is essential. We can help you set up systems so that personal, private, and client-specific folders stay secure. This way, you can manage sensitive information confidently and ensure data protection and privacy.

What is a Microsoft 365 consultant?

A Microsoft 365 consultant is a professional or group of professionals who can help you plan, migrate to or implement, and use Microsoft 365 to truly get the most out of it. This includes security and compliance expertise and training your users to use the tools effectively.

What are the benefits of working with an M365 consultant?

Working with a Microsoft 365 consultant helps businesses get the most out of their investment by ensuring smooth migrations, stronger security and optimised workflows. They provide expert guidance on licensing and compliance, set up tools such as Teams and SharePoint for enhanced collaboration, and offer training to boost user adoption. This means less downtime, improved productivity, and a faster return on your technology spend.

Do you offer ad hoc M365 consultancy for specific projects (such as SharePoint migrations), or we need to sign a long-term support contract?

We offer specific M365 projects, including SharePoint migrations, Teams implementations and similar work, on a standalone basis. You do not need to be on a long-term support contract with us to commission a project.

The starting point is always a conversation. We will get a sense of what you need, where you are migrating from, how much data is involved and any specific requirements, and from there we can give you an indicative price and timeline. Get in touch and we will take it from there.

Can you help us prepare for and safely deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Yes. We offer both Copilot readiness assessments and security assessments to ensure your environment is ready before deployment. If there are gaps in data structure, permissions or security configuration, we will help you address them first, so that when Copilot goes live it works correctly and safely. From there, we provide advice, training and ongoing support as your team gets up and running, and we can help with licences and technical implementation.

Do you have specific experience securing Microsoft 365 for highly regulated sectors like finance or law?

Yes. We work with businesses across financial services, legal, property development, accountancy, manufacturing, biotech and more, and we have long-standing experience helping all of them develop and maintain secure, well-governed Microsoft 365 environments. Regulated sectors come with specific requirements around data handling, access control and audit trails, and we configure M365 environments with those requirements in mind from the outset, not as an afterthought.

What does a Modern Work transformation actually look like beyond just moving email to the cloud?

A Modern Work transformation reshapes how your people collaborate, secure information and get things done across the entire organisation. In practice, it typically includes:

  • Collaboration and communication redesign: implementing Microsoft Teams for chat, calls, meetings and file collaboration, replacing fragmented tools with a single platform
  • Document management and knowledge sharing: structuring SharePoint and OneDrive so files are organised logically, accessible to the right people and available from anywhere
  • Security and identity modernisation: embedding zero-trust principles into everyday workflows, including MFA, conditional access, device management and data protection
  • Process and workflow automation: using Power Automate and related tools to reduce manual, repetitive tasks and free up your team's time
  • Flexible and remote-ready working: ensuring your infrastructure supports your team wherever they work, reliably and securely
  • User adoption and change management: training and embedding new habits so the tools actually get used, not just installed
  • Governance and compliance: putting the right policies, retention settings and controls in place so your modern work environment is also a well-governed one

It is a transformation that touches people, processes and technology, and when it is done well, it genuinely changes how effectively a business operates.

As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, can you handle our licensing and get us better pricing or non-profit grants?

We pass Microsoft 365 licences on to you at the standard retail price. We do not charge a fee on top, which is not something all partners do, so on licences alone you are already getting a fair deal.

For non-profit organisations, Microsoft does offer grant programmes that can significantly reduce or eliminate licence costs. The availability of these grants varies, and Microsoft has rolled back certain programmes for the most common licences in recent months. Where a grant or discount is available to you, we will make sure you know about it and that any saving is passed on in full.

How do you handle the people side of the change to ensure our staff actually use the new tools?

Training is without a doubt the most important part. Implementing Microsoft 365 tools without investing in user adoption is one of the most common reasons transformations underdeliver.

We provide on-site and remote training tailored to how your team works. The area that tends to see the most resistance is SharePoint and OneDrive. Moving away from saving files locally to saving in SharePoint requires a genuine shift in habit. We make the case clearly: your data in SharePoint is backed up, accessible from anywhere and available for collaboration. Data on your local hard drive is none of those things. When people understand the why, the how becomes much easier to embed.
