Hello, and welcome to another Byte-size Bulletin video, by The Final Step.
In today’s tip, we’re focusing on Microsoft Copilot for Outlook, taking a look at a useful feature that can help save you time.
Many of us spend the majority of our day inside our inbox, sending and reading emails, trying to keep track of multiple threads at once.
Microsoft Copilot makes it easy to summarise emails and threads into their key points so you can give yourself a refresher.
Just click on the latest email of a chain you want to recap, and click summarise in the top right.
Within moments, Copilot summarises the key takeaways from the thread for your perusal.
It even provides links if you want to read specific emails in more detail or if you want to double-check Copilot’s summary.
We recommend checking over the recap to ensure it’s correct, especially if the information is important or sensitive.
This feature is especially useful if you’ve just returned from annual leave, or perhaps you’re taking over from a colleague and need to get caught up quick. It can also help in preparation for meetings to better guide the conversation.
Give it a go, and let us know what you think.
