2020’s cyber attacks and hybrid working placed a strain on cyber security personnel, taking some close to burnout. What are organisations doing to manage the risks?

Proofpoint’s global survey of 1,400 Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) provides insights into the past 12 months and illuminates how they are preparing for the next 2 years.

Most CISOs, whilst playing catchup, believe that the right strategy and actions now will make them much better defended in 2022/23. Their top three priorities are:

  1. Enhance core security controls
  2. Invest in new solutions to protect remote working
  3. Improve employee cyber security awareness

Priorities differ across regions and for the UK the top priority is educating users with 44% saying security awareness is key.

You can reflect on your priorities by considering the report you can find here.
